How to Take Solpa Cold & Flu Max

Adults, older people and adolescents aged 16 years and over who weigh more than 50kg:

Take 1 sachet every 4 to 6 hours when necessary.

Do not take more than 4 sachets in any 24-hour period.

Do not take more frequently than every 4 hours.

Do not give to children or adolescents under 16 years of age.

How to Prepare

Empty the contents of one sachet into a standard mug containing approximately 250ml of hot, but not boiling, water.

Stir until dissolved and allow the drink to cool to a comfortable drinking temperature before consuming.

If symptoms persist or worsen after 3 days, seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist.

Important Safety Information

Contains paracetamol. Do not take with any other medicine containing paracetamol. Taking too much paracetamol can cause serious liver damage.

Do not take Solpa Cold & Flu Max if you are allergic to paracetamol, guaifenesin, phenylephrine or any of the other ingredients.

Do not take this medicine if you have high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, phaeochromocytoma, closed-angle glaucoma, severe liver impairment or porphyria.

Do not take this product if you are currently taking, or have recently taken, certain medicines including monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs). It may also interact with tricyclic antidepressants, beta-blockers, other medicines for high blood pressure and other decongestants or stimulant medicines.

Do not take during pregnancy. If you are breastfeeding, speak to your doctor or pharmacist before use.

Each sachet contains approximately 2g of sucrose and also contains aspartame and sodium. Check the patient information leaflet if you need to control your sugar, sodium or phenylalanine intake.

Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time necessary. If you take more than the recommended amount, seek immediate medical advice even if you feel well because of the risk of delayed serious liver damage from paracetamol.
