Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan by Marissa Carter is a fast, flexible self-tan mousse that lets you choose your shade by how long you leave it on — 1 hour for a light glow, 2 hours for medium, or 3 hours for a deep, dark tan. The lightweight mousse glides on evenly and develops to a natural, streak-free colour.

How to Use

• Exfoliate and moisturise daily in the lead-up to application.
• On the day, make sure skin is free from lotions, perfumes, deodorants or creams.
• Apply with a tanning mitt for an even finish.
• For light wait 1 hour before showering; for medium wait 2 hours; for dark wait 3 hours.
• At first shower, use shower gel but don't exfoliate. Wait until day 2–3 before moisturising.

Marissa's Tips

• For a very dark tan, apply on two consecutive days.
• Never apply fresh tan over remnants of old tan — it can look patchy.
• Patch test on the inside of your arm 48 hours before first use.
