Frequently Asked Questions
Can I take Actifed with other cold or flu medicines?
Do not take Actifed with Lemsip, Night Nurse, Solpa Cold & Flu or any other product containing paracetamol, as this risks paracetamol overdose. Do not take with other decongestants or antihistamines without pharmacist advice. Always check with your Chemco pharmacist before combining cold and flu medicines.
Does Actifed cause drowsiness?
Actifed contains triprolidine — a first-generation antihistamine that can cause drowsiness in some people. The degree of drowsiness varies between individuals. Avoid driving or operating machinery if you notice drowsiness after taking Actifed. Alcohol will increase the drowsiness effect — avoid alcohol during use.
