Origins

It is the flower bud of a tropical tree mainly grown in India, Madagascar and Indonesia. It is an evergreen tree of the Ä?żË?MyrtleÄ?żË? family and can grow up to 20 metres high. The flower buds are collected before the flower opens. The flower, bud and stem are used for the oil which is extracted by steam distillation.
